Peer Review Process

THURJ employs a 5 stage peer-review process, starting with initial screening at the beginning of the semester. Accepted manuscripts are then given revision through peer and external review, and upon final revisions, approved manuscripts are published in our semesterly journal. Please click the button to read more about our peer review process.

Generative AI Policy

The use of generative AI is not permitted in the drafting or content-generation stages of any THURJ pieces, including manuscripts and content pieces. While AI tools may be used to brainstorm ideas, locate potential sources, or check grammar in already-written text, they may not be used to outline, draft, or produce major or minor arguments. Authors are expected to clearly state if and how AI tools were used in the development of their work. Any pieces suspected of being written in whole, or in part, by generative AI will not be eligible for publication in THURJ.
